Maguire and Garfield"s Spider-Men officially became MCU characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where they helped Tom Holland"s Spider-Man fight and cure their enemies while also coming to terms with their own insecurities. Allegedly, Maguire and Garfield"s original intro scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home would have involved a different character. Going by scrapped concepts seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home"s concept art, this character could have been Xochitl Gomez"s America Chavez. Given that America is a superhero capable of creating multiversal portals by herself, the Spider-Men"s introduction could have been more action-packed, possibly with America intervening in a battle between Holland"s Spidey and one or more of the invading villains. Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has established America Chavez and her powers, Spider-Man 4 could fast-track the multiversal Spider-Men"s action scenes.
